<itunes:subtitle>“You know you are truly alive when you’re living among lions.” ― Isak Dinesen, Out Of Africa. Dean and Prayeri Harrison, founders of Out Of Africa wildlife park in Camp Verde, AZ are examples of what it means to be truly alive. There is truly something unique and refreshing about the way they approach this life. The idea that we live in world dictated by the laws of nature and not of man is evident in how they interact with all the animals on site. It's truly fascinating and something that must been seen and experienced to believe the connection they have with the animals. </itunes:subtitle>

<description>“You know you are truly alive when you’re living among lions.” ― Isak Dinesen, Out Of Africa.
We had the great joy of experiencing the VIP - Behind the scenes tour guided by Dean himself. It’s truly the best way to get the full experience of the park. We recorded over 3 hours of content on site but due to audio quality and other issues were limited in what we could bring to the episode. Out of Africa is not another zoo where you simply stroll around the park and stare at animals in their habitats rather its a place where you can truly interact and experience the animals. Located an hour north of the Phoenix valley its a quick trip and an experience that you will remember for your lifetime. Make sure to visit and say hi to our friend Pilgrim the Giraffe. If he likes you as much as he did Rob he may just give you a sloppy wet kiss. Special Guest: Dean Harrison.

<description>This week Rob and Stephanie spent time with Shirley from The Canyon Motel &amp;amp; RV park in Williams, Arizona. The motel is located right off the historic Route 66. Not only is the Canyon Motel situated in the beautiful landscape of Williams but it's also the only place where you can stay in a real train car. Experience Americana on Route 66 and stay the night in a caboose that once carried people across country. So enjoy the conversation with Shirley and be sure to visit next time you're in Williams. If you interact with any of the supernatural residents of the Canyon Motel during your stay we'll give you your very own episode to share the tale.

<description>In this weeks episode of the Not So Native podcast Rob is joined by a special guest host, his wife. Stephanie Lamb chose to tolerate him for a family vacation up north to Williams and Flagstaff. Their first stop was Bearizona in Williams where Dave O’Connell was kind enough to provide a guided tour through the park. If you’re looking for a professionally narrated tour look no further than this episode. Anything to be known about the park and its beautiful wildlife occupants Dave is the man to know it. As they drive through the park Dave shares interesting facts about the park and its wild residents. One of these being, did you know that bears don’t hibernate at Bearizona? - I didn’t. Dave will explain why. Next time you make the trip up north be like the bears and don’t sleep on Bearizona. A visit and tour through the park is well worth it, so as Dave’s and our gift to you, enjoy your very own guided tour. If you start the episode as you enter through the main gates you’ll find the narration will match along with your journey through the park. Enjoy the episode and be sure to let us know what you think. Next time you’re at Bearizona stop by and say “Hi” to Dave letting him know ‘Not So Native’ sent you. - Aaron Special Guest: Dave O'Connell.
